Robes & Kimonos

Robes are full night wear and although they are associated with the cold season, we now have light robes that can be worn in the warm weather. A robe has a knee length so it can go slightly below the knee. A robe takes an over-lap concept and when worn, you wrap it around the body and fasten with a belt strap or buttons. Robes for cold season may be made using wool and for warmer seasons there are silk robes. Kimonos originated in Japan but are now worn everywhere in the world. The difference between a kimono and a robe is a kimono is longer and has an ankle length in addition, a kimono has full long sleeves and shoulders.
